Geocaching for Prizes with Carver County Parks

Hunt for treasures!  Meet at the library to walk over to City Square Park in Waconia while discussing some of our favorite books.  At the park, you’ll get brief a history of GPS and how to navigate to find the hidden caches so can search for the loot.  Loot includes prizes from the library and the makings of s’mores.  Come dressed for the weather!

Great Decisions: Trade and Politics

The metrics used to gauge economic strength – Gross Domestic Product and balance of trade – have not kept up with the realities of modern manufacturing. Obtaining an accurate picture of U.S. economic stature requires a critique of those numbers so the U.S. can develop appropriate policy solutions for the challenges at hand.

The Friends of the Chanhassen Library sponsor the Great Decisions Discussions, which are organized nationally by the Foreign Policy Association and locally by Global Minnesota.
